This external smartAIS has the ability to trigger an external alarm which can be mounted anywhere on board. If a risk situation is detected due to a potential collision, anchor drag or MOB activation, you are alerted with an alarm on your mobile device. This simultaneously sounds the external alarm which operates even if your mobile device is switched off. This alarm can be connected directly to the XB-8000 without any external relays or other components. The volume levle can be controlled by simply rotating the sound output.

The heavy duty, robust external alarm is easily configured to make a steady or continuous pulsing tone, like a truck back up alarm. Terminals are via screw down or you can use 6.35mm (1/4") quick disconnects. The alarm can be used with both 12 and 24 VDC systems. Also has reverse polarity protection to prevent damage due to incorrect wiring.

The mute switch, used to mute the alarm is made from a 304 stainless steel material that is both durable and waterproof, making it ideal for mounting internally and externally. Designed for use with 12 and 24 VDC systems.
