Vesper's Cortex VHF Radio is a revolutionary device that will change your VHF experience forever. This is the worlds first VHF with high speed SOTDMA AIS transponder technology that makes your boat visible to others. A built-in heading sensor tells other vessels your direction, helping them more accurately predict potential collisions.

Touchscreen Display:
Vesper Cortex has an intuitive 4" gorilla glass touchscreen that is engineered to withstand the harsh marine environments, providing maximum durability. The scratch-resistant touchscreen can even be used while you have wet hands or are wearing gloves. Cortex ix submersible for 30 minutes (IPX7).

You can pinch to zoom the sunlight viewable display (even whilst wearing polarized glasses), enabling you to focus on a single vessel or see everything around you. You're also able to see each vessels details or make a DSC call simply by tapping on them. VHF channels can be changed with a swipe of your finger. AIS vessel information including name, bearing position and relative position is continuously on display, even whilst talking to them on VHF.

Collision Avoidance:
Cortex continuously calculates crossing situations and generates collision alarms for critical action, alerts if your anchor is dragging and activates MOB alarms (Cortex works with any manufacturer MOB) for immediate retrieval. Instead of bells or tones, Cortex sounds the alarm with voice alerts that will escalate until acknowledged. Audio is crisp and clear thanks to the monitor's 85db speaker.

You can continuously view crossing situations, navigation light sectors and even complete trial manoeuvres, all while talking on the VHF radio.

Monitor:
Cortex combines built-in sensors and NMEA2000 connectivity with free basic monitoring. You can view twice-daily updates of bilge, depth, location, power, temperature, wind and more using cellular connectivity on your smartphone. A premium subscription enables you to view real-time vessel status, instant alerts and even device control for systems like refrigerators, icemakers, lights and heaters.

Go ashore with peace of mind. Anchor watch will alert you if your anchor drags or if there is a change in wind speed, direction or water depth. Activate Anchor Watch when you drop anchor and it will continuously monitor the position of your boat.

Future-proof:
New features and capabilities can be downloaded automatically to the Cortex app for easy updates via Wi-Fi, whenever is convenient.
