Spinlock Deckvest VITO 275N Offshore Hammar Life Jacket

Spinlock have combined feedback from over 3 million cumulative miles worth of testing in tough ocean racing conditions in the Volvo Ocean Race to produce their latest adult life jacket, the Deckvest VITO.

This new ISO 12402-3 certified life jacket can be easily adjusted using adjust buckles to maintain a perfect fit, regardless of how many layers you are wearing. Spinlock have increased the protection the life jacket offers in high impact areas, further adding to the life jackets' comfort. Durable, rip stop fabric ensures that the life jacket is not only comfortable, but will stand the test of time.

With premium comfort, comes premium safety. The Spinlock Life Jacket features a new style structured sprayhood to reduce the risk of secondary drowning. Also included is a Pylon Life Jacket Light. This high intensity, water activated flashing LED life jacket light has a 23cm flexible antenna wand that offers improved visibility above head and water. Spinlock's DAME Award Winning Lume-On LED Life Jacket Light is also equipped on the life jacket.

Harness Release System:

Spinlock's revolutionary Harness Release System directly evolves from the brands' development work with the Volvo Ocean Race. The unique system ensures that a simple release from a safety line, even when fully loaded is easily accessible with either hand. This significantly reduces the risk of an accidental snag or release.

Hammar Inflation:

The life jacket uses a hammar inflation system which is activated by water pressure and will not activate until the cap is approximately 10 centimetres underwater. Hammar inflation systems are hugely popular for those sailing offshore in more extreme conditions as the life jacket cannot accidentally inflate if it is wet from rain and sea spray. The unit has a single indicator to show if it is armed.
