Designed to aid collision avoidance, Ocean Signal's ATB1 Class B AIS Transponder offers a significant advantage in navigational safety by increasing visibility - largely thanks to the incorporated Self Organizing Time Division Multiple Access (SOTDMA) scheme. 

Vessel information such as position, speed course and heading is ascertained automatically and continuously using the internal multi-GPS receiver for accurate global positioning, ensuring you can be seen day or night, regardless of how bad the weather is. Furthermore, thanks to 99 acquisition channels and 33 tracking channels, AIS transmission will provide the most accurate indication of your vessels positions at all times.

Other vessel information such as vessel name, call sign, type and dimensions as well as the MMSI are transmitted automatically from the transponder. This information is uploaded to the ATB1 via WiFi directly from Ocean Signal's user-friendly mobile app or website. Once uploaded, this information remains stored in the unit's non-volatile memory, even if powered down for long periods of time.
