Used by the RNLI, Royal Marines and River Canal Rescue, Marine 16's diesel bug treatment is a biocide blend specially formulated to prevent or eradicate the microbial contamination of fuel from yeast, mould and bacteria - known collectively as diesel bug. The Marine 16 Treatment disperses into the water and fuel phases into your tank, then will remain sufficiently active for over a year at both high and low temperatures.

A 100ml bottle is sufficient to prevent diesel bug growth in 2000 litres of fuel. For serious contamination addition rates of 100ml to 100 litres may be required. Overdosing will not harm your engine.

Best Diesel Bug Fuel Treatment:

In 2016, Practical Boat Owner tested 10 diesel bug fuel treatments. In the tests, Marine 16 not only prevented microbial growth but killed inoculated microbes to below detectable limits after 14 days, resulting in the treatment gaining a recommendation from the publication.

Instructions for use:
Allow 72 hours for the formula to work properly.
Store in a cool, ventilated area, away from direct sunlight.
