Lewmar's EVO Self-Tailing Winch is the evolution of the highly regarded Ocean Winch, one of the most popular winches ever made. EVO's self tailing capability makes winching so much easier; the line is taken away from the winch, allowing you to use two hands on the winch.

Simple Servicing:
Safety and convenience has been designed into every EVO boat winch, which is why no tools are required when servicing. Simply unscrew the top cap with your fingers to remove the drum and provide access to the proven gear train. If you try to put a Lewmar EVO winch together incorrectly, it will become very clear that you've got it wrong. It's impossible to service the winch and put it back together incorrectly.

Quick Installation:
Lewmar's new 'fast fit' enables one person to fit the winch without removing the drum. There are no plastic parts to snap off, just select the correct size stud, wind it into the strong bronze centre stem and mount the winch into pre-drilled holes.

Top Tip:
When installing a winch, Lewmar recommend the winch must be mounted on a flat surface and that the rope enters the drum at an angle of 5 to 10 degrees to the base axis of the Lemwar winch. The angle can be achieved by using a base wedge when mounting the winch.
