A traditional tung-oil based yacht varnish which is ideal for classic yachts. The gloss varnish is great for both interior and exterior use thanks to its water resistance and UV filters which stop damage from the sun, vastly improving durability.
Application is easy thanks to the varnishes̢¢ self-levelling properties. A warm golden colour will be visible once complete.

How can Schooner Varnishà be applied?
It can be applied with a brush or paint roller. You can also use a conventional or airless spray, but it is recommended that this is for professional use only. It is recommended that you sand after every other coat.
On previously varnished wood: 4 coats.
Bare wood: Thin first coat by 10% then apply 4-6 more coats.
How long should I wait in-between coats?
If applied at 10C ⬠Minimum of 16 hours.
15C ⬠Minimum of 14 hours.
23C ⬠Minimum of 12 hours.
30C ⬠Minimum of 8 hours.
There is a maximum overcoating time of one month regardless of temperature at the time of application.
How long does Schooner Varnish take to become touch dry?
If applied at 10C ⬠3 hours.
15C ⬠2.5 hours.
23C ⬠2 hours.
35C ⬠60 minutes.
What is Schooner Varnish coverage?
Approximately 14 metres square per litre with a brush, 12 metres square with a spray.
At what temperature can the formula be applied?
It is recommended that the varnish is applied with the temperature between 10C and 35C.
What type of wood is Schooner suitable for?
International̢¢s Schooner Varnish is suitable for use on all types of wood including oily timbers such as Teak and Iroko.
Other Notes:
High gloss finish. Mix withà matting additive for a satin finish. This product can be used both internally and externally.
