How can Hempel Multicoat be applied?
Application can take place via a paint brush, roller, paint pad or spray, although spray is recommended for professional use only.
On a previously coated surface: Abrade to remove any loose matter and to provide a suitable key. Wash with fresh water and allow to dry before applying two coats of Multicoat.
On a previously uncoated surface: Prepare and prime with Multicoat or an appropriate Primer before applying two coats of Multicoat.
On new or bare wood: Apply first coat of Multicoat thinned by 5-10% followed by 2-3 undiluted coats. Stir well before use.
How long should I wait in-between coats when applying Hempel Multicoat?
If applied at 10C – Minimum of 16 hours, maximum of 6 days.
If applied at 20C – Minimum of 8 hours, Maximum of 3 days.
How long does Multicoat take to become touch dry?
At 10C - 6 hours,
At 20C – 3 hours.
What is Hempel Multicoat's coverage?
Approximately 11.5 metres square.
At what temperature can Hempel Multicoat be applied?
It is recommended that the substance is applied at temperatures between 10 and 20C.
On what substrates can Hempel Multicoat be used?
Fibreglass, wood and steel. Interior and exterior use above the waterline.
