Hempel's Bilge & Locker paint is a highly durable, high opacity semi-gloss topcoat that is resistant to water and oil. It's recommended that the paint is used on steel or wood. Not suitable for permanent immersion.

How can Bilge & Locker Paint be applied?
Application is via brush, roller, paint pad or spray, although spray is recommended for professional use only. 2-4 coats are recommended.
On a previously coated surface – Wash surface with fresh water, wait to dry then apply two coats of bilge & locker paint.
On a previously uncoated surface – Prime the surface with an appropriate primer, then apply two coats of Bilge & Locker paint.
On new or bare wood – Apply first coat of Bilge & Locker Paint thinned by 5-10% then apply 2-3 coats undiluted.
How long should I wait in-between coats when applying Hempel Bilge & Locker Paint?
10C – Minimum of 16 hours, maximum of 6 days.
20C – Minimum of 8 hours, maximum of 3 days.
How long does Bilge & Locker Paint take to become touch dry?
10C – 6 hours.
20C – 3 hours.
What is Hempel Bilge & Locker's coverage?
Approximately 11 metres square per litre.
At what temperature can Hempel Bilge & Locker Paint be applied?
It is recommended that the substance is applied at temperatures between 10C and 20C.
What is the flash point?
38C.
